Make Vista Faster Real Fast
Have you noticed how Vista takes forever to start and how certain things seem more use in Vista? This is partly due to how the operating system, but there are things you can do to make Vista faster.
The first thing you should recognize, is the Sidebar. Do you really need the things that display on the right side of the desktop? You have displayed the time in the taskbar at the bottom right corner of the screen so why it a second time? Most of theOther things are not much more useful. The sidebar is only space and resources. Get rid of it by right clicking on the sidebar, left click on properties and remove the checkmark next to "Start Sidebar when Windows starts". Click OK, and then the next time you start your computer, the Sidebar will be gone.
Another thing is that Vista's built-in disk defragmenter is always up to your files neat and tidy. There is no need for them, and it is the chewing of resources, so turn it off, asthis. Click Start, click Control Panel, then click Performance Information and Tools. Click on Advanced Tools, then click Open Disk Defragmenter. Uncheck "Run on a schedule" and click OK. You can manually run Disk Defragmenter every few months since this all you need.
Of course, you have to look after the registration, but that can be quickly implemented with registry cleaner software. Just a few clicks and you will see how easy it is to make vista faster, and Windows XP isAlso for that matter.
